We designed furniture and lighting for a semi-industrial event space dedicated to visual and sound art in Berlin Neukölln, the Feed Soundspace.
Our client’s requests included a solution for sound absorption in the 200 m2 space, since most of the surfaces of the existing premises were made of concrete and glass.
They also wanted a new bar area and simple multi-purpose furniture.
To treat the space, perforated wood panels were shaped as hanging objects. These included acoustic absorbers but also two types of lighting: one through the holes and the other illuminating the ceiling. A bar with salvaged wood planks and a chandelier of simple pendant light bulbs and textile cable configured the bar area. Multifunctional furniture boxes which could be adapted to different types of events were also designed.
